The Nigerian Journal of Clinical Practice is a Quarterly peer-reviewed international journal published by the Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria. The journal’s full text is available online at
www.njcponline.com. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal makes a token charge for submission, processing and publication of manuscripts including color reproduction of photographs.

The Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria [MDCAN], an affiliate of Nigerian Medical Association is the largest specialist medical association in the west African sub-region with over 2,000 members from teaching hospitals, specialist hospitals and private medical centers from all parts of Nigeria. The population of Nigeria is about 130 million. Policy decisions are made by the Association's National Executive Council (NEC) which is the governing body. The constitution of MDCAN is supreme and its provisions shall have binding force on all authorities, organs, branches and members of the Association and, where applicable, on any other persons. Any medical or dental practitioner registered under the Medical and Dental Practitioners' Act CAP 221 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria(1990) and as subsequently amended who has completed recognized Residency training and has been appointed a Consultant in any chapter shall have a right of membership of the Association. The National Executive Council is the governing body of the Association and has full powers to act on its behalf in the period between the Annual Delegates' Meetings in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Association unless otherwise stated in the constitution.
The Nigerian Journal of Clinical Practice is a quarterly multidisciplinary medical journal published by the Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria. We publish scientific reports on human subjects in the form of original articles, reviews brief reports, case reports, and letters. We also accept review articles, special communications and editorials. Association The journal will cover technical and clinical studies related to medical and pediatric oncology in human well being including ethical and social issues. Articles with clinical interest and implications will be given preference.
All submissions are subject to peer review by the Editorial Board and by referees in appropriate specialties. We will consider for publication manuscripts from any part of the world, but most particularly manuscripts that would be of interest to readers in the third world and Africa in particular. . The journal was established in 1997 as the Journal of the Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria
